Nursery Routines To Practise At Home
Drop off routine
Come inside
Remove coat and place on peg
Find name and place by coat
Put lunchbox in box
Put backpack in box
Before going outside
Find coat and remove from peg
Put on coat
Think and put on boots if wet outside
Find and put on gloves, hat if cold outside
Snack
Wash hands
Sit on a chair at the table
Choose what to have to drink – milk or water
Eat snack
Place any unwanted food in the bin
Place plate and cup in orange bowl
Give snack card to staff member
Wipe face

Lunch
Wash hands
Locate lunchbox on the table
Take out contents of lunchbox and place on table
Eat lunch
When finished, placed uneaten items in lunchbag
Close lunchbag and return to lunchbag box
Wipe face
End of day routine
Locate bookbag and swap book
Locate coat and remove from peg
Put on coat
Find backpack and lunchbag
Return name tag to the blue board
Nappy change
Find backpack
Climb the steps
Help with nappy change routine
Climb down the steps
Wash hands
Return backpack to the box
